Funeral services are being held Monday for a volunteer firefighter in Pennsylvania.

Eric J. Olson, 35, of Laury's Station Volunteer Fire Company, collapsed and died Wednesday, July 5, a day after he responded to a water rescue, said Chief Robin Hood.

Firefighter Olson, a driver and pump operator, was part of the crew that responded to the call on the afternoon of July 4. The following morning, he collapsed at work at Mack Trucks. He was pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital. The cause of death has not been determined yet, Chief Hood said Monday.

This is the first line-of-duty death for the volunteer department. "I never ever want to go through this again," the chief said.

Olson, a volunteer for the past five years, is survived by a wife and two daughters.
