Fallen hero we didn't get chance to know

He hated the Yankees. He'd fight off every last kid or grown-up in those car rides, swearing his allegiance to the Toronto Blue Jays, of all teams.

But I didn't know that.

He loved the Nets because he liked rooting for a team no one else did. He'd scream out Sam Bowie's name on the basketball courts near his house growing up as he was taking on the biggest guy even when he was the smallest.

But I didn't know that.

He'd cheer for wrestlers and claim wrestling was a sport even when his godfather would try to convince him it was entertainment.

But I didn't know that.

I didn't know any of that about Christopher Santora. I just met him yesterday
