    CT Firefighter Dies After Response

    A Connecticut firefighter died in the line of duty Sunday evening after responding to a fire at a mall.

    Firefighter Barry Wollman, 53, had been with the Eagleville Fire Department in Mansfield since 1975. He was a part-time employee and a safety officer.

    "He was parking a vehicle in the bay and a police officer found him slumped over the wheel," said Matt Hart, assistant to the town manager. "We believe it was a heart attack or natural causes."

    Wollman had responded to a call for a small fire in a storage room of the Eastbrook Mall, said Firefighter Dan Davis. After standing by at the scene, Wollman returned to the fire station where he was found later in the evening.
