    I Needed The Quiet

    I Needed the Quiet

I needed the quiet so He drew me aside.
Into the shadows where we could confide.
Away from the bustle where all the day long
I hurried and worried when active and strong.

I needed the quiet though at first I rebelled
But gently, so gently, my cross He upheld
And whispered so sweetly of spiritual things
To weakened in body, my spirit took wings
To heights never dreamed of when active and gay.
He loved me so greatly He drew me away.

I needed the quiet. No prison my bed,
But a beautiful valley of blessings instead

    Somewhere Tonight

    Somewhere Tonight
    By Rick Cua

Somewhere tonight on a winding road

    Cherokee Wisdom

    Cherokee Wisdom

Sent to me by a friend... thought you would like to read too...
Cherokee Wisdom - Words to live with and by.
An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life.
"A fight is going on inside me," he said to the boy.
"it is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves.
One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed,
arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride,
    superiority and ego.
The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility,
kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."
"This same fight is going on inside you - and inside every other person,
    too."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather,
    "Which wolf will win?"
The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."
