Miami Firefighters To Mount Motorcycles
New Program Designed To Shorten Response Time

MIAMI -- Miami-Dade firefighters are following an example set in England that they hope will help them save time and lives.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue is adding 10 specially equipped BMW motorcycles to their response team. The new "Motorcycle Emergency Response Team is modeled after a similar program in London, where the average response time to an accident is just 3.5 minutes.
