18 FDNY Firefighters Injured In Bronx Apartment Blaze

Eighteen firefighters were injured while battling a three-alarm blaze in the Fordham section of the Bronx Sunday afternoon.

The flames broke out on the top floor of a six-story apartment building on Grand Concourse around noon, officials said.

Dozens of residents were evacuated. Several floors suffered water damage as firefighters extinguished the blaze.

All of the injuries to the firefighters are considered minor.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
