    Deadly Emergency Vehicle Crash

    Deadly Emergency Vehicle Crash

    Clearfield County --

Sandy Township Fire Department rescue crews were responding to a minor car accident on State Route 255 near Sabula when state police say 19-year-old Walter Sarnoski, of DuBois, lost control of his car. He went off the berm, then came back across both lanes of traffic and into the path of Sandy Township Fire Chief John Brown. Brown's sport utility hit Sarnoski's sedan. Sarnoski died at the scene. Brown was flown from DuBois Regional Medical Center to another hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
