    Utah Fire Chief Killed

    Line of Duty Death of Chief Keith Allred of the West Desert FD in Juab County, Utah. Chief Allred was killed on Tuesday afternoon in tanker rollover. For those fire service personnel that would like to pay their respects to Chief Allred, the family and the members of the WDFD, there will be a viewing on Friday (tomorrow), June 24th between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the Jenkins Soffe Mortuary, 106 South 10th West, in Sandy, Utah. The funeral service will be held on Saturday.

    Initial Summary:
    Chief Allred was driving a military surplus converted tanker on a dirt road to a safety inspection when the left front tire of the tanker blew out. The tanker went off the left side of the road causing him to lose control of the tanker. Two rear tires subsequently blew out causing the tanker to roll over. He suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
