Richard A. Clark Jr., 53, of Worcester, died Saturday, December 8, after a long illness.

He leaves two children, Matthew R. Clark of Mendon and Meghan Clark of Worcester; three sisters, Katherine E. Hackett of Millbury, Joanne M. Daly of Millbury and Martha A. Vorce of Marlboro; and two grandchildren, Brennen and Breanna Clark of Mendon.

He was born in Worcester, son of the late Richard A. and Katherine A. (Monahan) Clark. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War era. He was a firefighter in the Worcester Fire Department for many years. He also worked for Peterson Oil Co.

Calling hours at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, are Tuesday, Dec. 11 from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral Mass will be Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid's Church, 59 Main St., Millbury. Burial in St. John's Cemetery will be private.
