USAF Airman Killed at Fire Station in Japan News

A USAF Airman First Class was killed Feb. 11 in an incident involving a fire vehicle on a base in Japan.

Derek Kozorosky was assigned to a fire station with the 18th Civil Engineer Squadron at Kadena Air Base, Japan.

Kozorosky, 22, of Pennsylvania, was killed while backing a fire apparatus, according to WTAJ.

He was taken to Camp Lester Naval Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No details of the incident have been released. However, an investigation is underway.
