All of the WTC names are up

I finally got all the names up. If someone finds that I missed a name, or I got something wrong, please let me know.

I did not double check my sources. I got the list from the Firehouse.com database since I can't find my info from FDNY.

Now, we need Bios and pictures and news articles. If everyone coming through could just spend 5 minutes to add something to one of the brothers names, that would be great.

Think of it as a virtual flower for them.

    Adding Bio's

Patricia (Patries) has been adding the bio's. Help lighter her load a little.

Find a name that she didn't get to yet, and get the Bio for the guy.

How? Firehouse.com has an excellent database to search

Search for the name. When you get the info, highlight it, copy it, and then go to the Brothers forum and create a New Message.

The subject can just say 'Bio' or Bio from Firehouse.com

Then, paste the info in the message box.

    adding the pictures

Want to also add the photo?

don't worry about it if you're not that comfortable trying this. Someone will eventually do it for you.

But, if you want to try, it's kind of easy.

On that page from Firehouse.com, where you just grabbed the info, you want to right click on the picture. You should get a little menu, where one of the choices says "save picture as..."

Save the picture, and when it shows you where to save it, the easiest place to put it is on your desktop. You can always delete it later.

OK, next step. Now that it's on your computer.....

When you are back on the FallenBrothers site, and you are adding the message, or perhaps editing your older message, you will see the "Attach File" option. Click on the Browse button, browse to the Desktop, select the newly downloaded picture (I hope you remember the name) . Once highlighter, click the 'open' button.

That should then bring you back to your message screen.

Now, just click Submit Reply. The file will now be uploaded from your computer to the website for viewing on the site.

Again, if you're not up to that, don't worry about. Just do what you can do. Then again, what better way to learn new things on the computer than to help out on a site like this.

    give back......

    taking a break

    great work by Patricia

I don't know about her, but I know that I'm taking a break.

I'm hoping that after the holidays we'll get a few more people helping out here.

Think of how it's going to feel when family members come and see how much work that 'everyone' put in to remember their loved ones, not just a few people. That's what it's about.

We've gotten some emails from family members of the other brothers from last year saying how much the site is appreciated. Again, that's what it's about.

contribute what you can to the site....

    thanks

    and thanks again to Patries
oh, I haven't forgot Chris either.....
